Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

The ruby crowned kinglets around here are FEARLESS! I nearly stepped on two different ones while walking in the snow yesterday. One of them almost flew-flopped into my partner.

The wind was blowing the remaining snow out of the trees, and when it caught the early morning sunlight, it looked like the world was full of gold glitter. That was lovely to see.

Atlanta metro also had a dry slot while areas around us got significant snow. We did end up getting a dusting here, but a few miles north got 4”. I don’t think the city itself got anything.
