This is the look of a man who’s been granted what should be his dream job but is in fact a total shit sandwich. Tony will be spending his days and evenings lying on behalf of Larry Ellison and developing a drinking problem. Good luck, buddy!

The Atlantic suggesting, without evidence, that Canada's Global TV broadcasting the '60 Minutes' segment on CECOT that CBS distributed to it may have been an act of "treachery."

Corus stock is trading at 3 cents a share. Global don’t have a pot to piss in. But do go on, Atlantic, and tell me how the network engaged in “treachery” by distributing content that had been withdrawn.

In its report, the National Post repeatedly referred to one of the interviewees, whose name is Luis, as Louise. That is some Weiss-level incompetence right there.

For years the TTC has claimed it can’t employ solutions that work in other cities because this is Toronto and we have unique challenges (narrow streets/hills/weather) that demand a made-in-Toronto approach and this is what we get.

The most persistent myth of our time is that wealth is directly tied to hard work.

The second most persistent myth of our time is that progressive taxation, i.e. taxing the rich, stifles the economy when the reality is that too much inequality reduces growth.
"The people targeted under this motion are already paying the highest property taxes in this city. We should NOT be punishing hard work. We should NOT be punishing people who have invested in our city to build businesses and have created jobs," says Councillor James Pasternak.

Imagine if electeds like Bradford fought against rent increases like they do against property tax increases — as though renters don't offset property taxes anyway.

Only certain household budgets matter here.
"This comes down to your ideological worldview," says Bradford to Perks. "Your worldview is that the answer to every problem is more taxes, more fees, and more staff. And you know what, household budgets in Toronto don't work that way."

I also demand that Canadian government documents refer to gasoline and not petrol. Tires, not tyres. And gonchies, not cacks.
You may not give a second glance to the use of "utilise" or "catalyse" in documents coming from our federal government. But Canadian spelling and Canadianisms make up our unique identity. Now is not the time to retreat from what makes Canada distinct. www.ctvnews.ca/canada/artic...

After Fletcher says Bradford is being "disrespectful", Nunziata says, "You can't expect anything more from Councillor Bradford."

Bradford does NOT like that. He demands an apology from Nunziata. "That was NOT objective and impartial in your role as the speaker!"

Chow says she inherited big budget deficit from Tory era. Needed to secure New Deal and fix finances first.
