This is pretty good.

Agree that the bullpen ought to be a lot bettter, rotation is unlikely to be much better, but could be close to tte same.

But I'd also say that I think it's possible the lineup improves.

The Blue Jays just went from 4.14 to 4.93 runs/game. Variability happens.

Wow, the Germans fell from Gold medal position to Bronze after those 2 mistakes. Japan gets Gold in pairs. And both teams are hugging it out. 🥹

I don’t think AOC is all that likely to win a D primary, especially if Harris runs, but 1) it’s not impossible and 2) she’ll be on the VP shortlist for almost every candidate regardless

I do kinda think the move is finding people in highly educated professions (likely to be lib, have income to campaign) that still don't code as lib in the median voter's porridge brain. MD's, veterinarians (like this guy), engineers, etc. That's likely a decent well for reach state candidate recuits

I will say that I am skeptical of the sincerity of a person who in the Year of Our Lord 2026 is spending their presumably limited mental energy inventing scenarios where actually it’s Good and Principled that they don’t vote against fascism and also it’s Not Their Fault

PS: In downplaying how progressive America had been in my 46 years of life (certainly on social issues!), specifically the Democratic Party, you minimize what a seismic shift the current MAGA era has been on these fronts.

No scenario where minimizing MAGA fascism ends w/ left-wing politics winning.

Yes, the most exhausting thing about the far-left is responding to their completely fictional version of the Democratic Party (one that is not, for instance, one of the most visibly pro-trans parties on Earth).

And where they believe punishing America with fascism is justified by Dem failures.
Speaking as someone who has many, many complaints about the Democratic Party, “letting them lose” when they’re in a contest with an actual fascist party isn’t very smart. Nor is it remotely fair to say they’ve adopted far right policies on trans rights, immigration, or abortion (??).
chat is it good or bad if the only defense against fascism is voting for one party forever and never letting them lose no matter how far right they go and how much of the fascist's policies around immigration and trans rights and abortion they start taking on over time?

These are suburban white kids, with one latinx member. Whose father happens to work at a school in Minneapolis, and was one of the people tackled by ICE when they swarmed his school as it was letting out. They were abducting kids while other kids jumped on the agents to try to stop them. (2/?)

I’m not saying you shouldn’t criticize Dems - of course not - but acting like “a mediocre Dem versus an actual fascist” is a tough choice is extremely unhelpful for people trying to build a broad united front against fascism.
