I really wish people would stop qualifying these ICE raids as being done "without a warrant." I don't care if they DID have a warrant, you should not be dragging teachers out of schools in front of kids regardless!

i loved train dreams. a sweet portrait of a sensitive man looking for meaning in the mundane. kinda the opposite of "men will do anything but" except here the therapy is trees and puppies. reminded me a LOT of the straight story :)
"Why do we understand the natural world so abundantly but the world inside of us barely at all?"

Lindsey Romain @lindseyromain.bsky.social reviews TRAIN DREAMS, in theaters Nov 7 and on Netflix Nov 21.

Tonight, in Chicago, North Side rapid responders and community members held a vigil. At least ten people were abducted by ICE in Rogers Park alone today. We uplifted the message RESIST ICE in lights. We spoke out, sang together, grieved, and reaffirmed our commitment to defending our neighbors.
