😢 his body of work is timeless
Gutted about Rob Reiner. I just spent a week immersed in The Princess Bride and every bit of supplemental content on that Criterion set, and a big part of its appeal was the warmth and wit that Reiner radiated in every conversation. His work has been a huge influence on me—absolutely tragic news.

The thing that gets me about this is that even if we wanted to make a positive AI ad, they never showcase AI being used to enhance someone’s day or improve their workflow. There’s no “it allows me to more easily do what I love.” It’s always presented as a failsafe for the dispassionate and incurious
