Labour mayor of Greater Manchester joins those criticising Ratcliffe over his comments The GMB union has alos criticised Jim Ratcliffe over his comments about immigration. Frankly, his right to comment on UK affairs should have ended the moment he sloped off to Monaco to avoid paying his taxes. These comments go against everything for which Manchester has traditionally stood: a place where people of all races, faiths and none have pulled together over centuries to build our city and our institutions, including Manchester United FC. Calling for curbs on levels of immigration is one thing; portraying those who come here as a hostile invading force is quite another. Continue reading...

Have a read of this. Great scoop, obviously, but it’s also an absolute masterclass in how to report on these jokers. Plenty of London-based hacks could learn a lot from Martin Shipton here. If they actually wanted to…

For the maths nerds like me, this February will never happen again in our lifetime.

It only happens once every 823 years

4 Sundays
4 Mondays
4 Tuesdays
4 Wednesdays
4 Thursdays

4 Saturdays

A perfect month.
