A friend of a friend, named Melanie, wore the same jeans all the time as a teen. My friend's dad nicknamed her "Unchanged Melanie", in a nod to the Righteous Brothers classic, Unchained Melody.

you cannot create a viable third party without changing the constitution.

to change the constitution, you need control of one of the major political parties, at minimum.

anyone refusing to accept this is a fucking child i'm tired of entertaining.

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.

Is there a news source somewhere that can explain the context of what the hell Trump was doing reading the oath of office at the Commanders game? Because I am very confused.

Mamdani's line that billionaires spent more to oppose his candidacy than he proposed to tax them really says it all.

Like a company that shuts down a profitable location as soon as it unionizes. The principle of maintaining control is more important.

I feel like there’s a real chance the right sequence of posts on Truth Social could convince him to do Medicare for all.
Hmm, who would people be purchasing their own healthcare from, Mr. President?

Donald Trump must follow the law and give people their full SNAP payments.

Trump is using hungry children, veterans, and seniors as a political tool. It’s fundamentally wrong.

For years, but especially for the past year, Democrats have been in thrall to the idea that they need to chase an imagined median voter, and adopt that voter’s positions. Mamdani’s victory shows another way: hold principles, and persuade people to share them.

Democratic party leadership has been on autopilot for ten years, they weren't losing to fascism, fascism isn't popular enough for them to lose to fascism, they were allowing it to fill the void where their leadership should have been. Tonight we're seeing that we have other options. They should too.
