Chronically exhausted, under caffeinated, usually cranky, and a bit weird. Mostly harmless, but often plotting. Keeper of cats, tales and cards. Lover of movies, music, games, wine and witchy things.
I rarely make it here anymore. Rarely make it anywhere else, tbh, aside from drive by likes on Twitter and shitposting on Instagram, buttttt…

The last 10 days have been a beast. Truly, some of the highest highs, followed by some massive stress and despairing, soul crushing lows.

Awake again, even earlier today by two hours.

I’m about to be many, many more people’s problem today if I make it to Costco ☠️😬☠️

Good morning, nerds.

I’ve sort of missed the calm of this place, but have largely been avoiding most social media (except for instagram) because it’s all a ginormous dumpster fire.

I’m awake far too early on a long weekend and I’m making it everyone’s problem :)

There’s not an insignificant amount of snow on the ground and trees right now.

It’s really quite pretty but like, knock it off? I’d like for my power to remain on, but with all the outages in the area, I’m bracing for a pile of blankets being a necessity.

Gotta love April in southern Quebec 🙃

Welp.

I decided to delete twitter app from my phone, and only log in on the site, like I do here.

Tried to log in and umm… I don’t have any of the backup codes at hand or an authenticator account associated with it, so unless I conjure up the codes, I guess I nuked twitter. Finally?

Hahaha 🙃😭🙃

I read for about a minute and had to close the link.

Not because @atrupar.bsky.social did a bad job or the page was jank, but because this is so abhorrent, I can’t understand how people are so willing to abandon reason and common sense to worship trump and the garbage he spews on the regular.
I put together a lengthy video thread about Trump’s ugly speech today in Dayton, Ohio. You can peruse it from the link — no twitter account required threadreaderapp.com/thread/17690...

The slow realization that I don’t actually suck as much as I think I do, and people I interact with on a few different platforms might actually genuinely like me? Kinda terrifying 🥴

Truly.

See also: friends that I’ve managed to keep for years and years. How do y’all put up with me?!

Terrifying

Y’all. I’ve NEVER seen a pollen report in March before.

A few of my trees are budding, my tulips are about four inches above the ground and we’re only the middle of March.

I hate it.

Oh.

What a shock 🙄

(Neither will benefit from AI involvement at all. As a Magic player, if this is the way they’re going to go, I’ll continue to limit my gameplay. One person speaking with their wallet won’t do a thing, but I’ll feel better about it)
Watching Chris Cocks “work” is like watching one of those old cartoons where the main character walks from rake to rake, smashing himself in the face again and again.

25-3 on a game of Bounty in CoD.

Not a personal best, but a good one.

I spent most of it running around shrieking (off mic- I don’t talk in games anymore) how I needed an adult to keep me safe, and why was nobody protecting their Queen? (HVT) Ended up having to do it all myself anyway 🙃

Thissss.

See also the enraging habit of:

-slewercide instead of suicide
-red milk instead of blood (which tbf? Not as bad as the rest)
-unalive instead of dead
-every instance of mangling “link in bio”

Can we please knock it all off?
Has anybody written about the near-ubiquitous online trend of bowdlerizing text, either to avoid being penalized by the algorithm (real or imagined) or to avoid content being searchable by others? We have people who communicate about "s*x" instead of "sex" and... that's probably a very bad thing.

Snow and below freezing today.

The rest of the week? High single digits into low teens (Celsius).

Do. Not. Want.

This is absolutely wild, and not at all adding a canister of fuel to an already raging fire of conspiracy theories and speculation…
The Associated Press (AP) Reuters, Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Getty Images all separately issued a "kill notice" to media organisations around the globe, confirming they had each deleted the image from their individual libraries.

She’s cute when she’s sleepy and not trying to chom your hand… the audacity her human has, trying to show physical affection 🥴🙄

The precipitation falling right now can only be described as slush. It’s not quite snow, not quite rain, perfect for snowballs, if you don’t mind your gloves turning soggy the second you scoop the snow.

It’s gross.

(Temperatures are all over the place. Not a fan.)

There’s something a bit… idk, annoying (with an edge of fun), having to make a damn checklist of crap that needs to be done in a damn game to unlock a new weapon. It’s really forcing me outside my comfort zone for play, but like… checklist 😭

I’m not sure aftermart parts should be a thing next CoD

There’s an amount of snow on the ground that is not insignificant. It was raining when I went to bed last night.

Also, this spring forward time change bullshit, is, forever bullshit. I would love to see it gone before I die.

Super late to watching it, but The Last Voyage of the Demeter was gorgeous. The cast, the set pieces, the special effects.. all breathtaking.

Everything about it appealed to my Dracula loving soul. It also cemented my deep fear of boats and open water. No thank you very much. I’ll stay on land 🙃

Of all the things that should be standard on a vehicle… doors that operate independently of software is one of them. I don’t understand how the hell this isn’t a mandatory safety requirement.
Fun fact I learned a while back and one of the many reasons I would never buy a Tesla: their door handles are not mechanical, but linked to software. If you lose that connection or the software shits the bed, you literally can't escape your Tesla if it's underwater or on fire.
I am quite certain that if I ever slowly back my Subaru into a cattle pond I will be able to open a door or lower a window to escape. (I'm also quite certain my car's design makes it impossible to confuse reverse and first gear.) nypost.com/2024/03/09/u...

Why fucking text me with a question, then give me a thumbs down emoji as a reply when I give you the answer?

Fuck all the way off with that nonsense 😬

When his appeal is denied/rejected/dismissed/whatever, I genuinely hope she keeps a modest amount on her winnings and donates the rest to planned parenthood and charities that benefit rape survivors on behalf of Trump’s name. Not her own. Watch his head kerplode like the fuckers in Kingsmen.
Breaking News: Donald Trump posted a $91.6 million bond in a defamation case he recently lost to the writer E. Jean Carroll, a move that will allow him to appeal the verdict without having to pay her.
