My rotator cuff is now so buggered that it hurts when I sneeze. I cannot imagine how anyone over 40 in possession of knees and shoulders could believe in Intelligent Design.

Around 3,000 years ago in ancient Egypt, artists used stone fragments for painting and drawing instead of paper sketchpads!

Sadly, Gordon Lightfoot is not around to write about how NOAA has been quietly saving lives and preventing disasters through science for 50+ years
In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

if you are food insecure for both the humans and pets in your household there is a tool called Pet Help Finder that can help locate pet food banks nearby and other free or reduced price assistance and supplies for pets.
no one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, should have to give up their pet bc of this.

The World Bank’s latest data shows a quiet global triumph: 93% of people aged 15 to 24 can now read and write. In many regions youth literacy has reached or neared universal levels, marking one of the most successful, least reported stories in development. buff.ly/vnsUhLo

I have been traveling and today I present to you...the thing I saw in the Frankfurt airport.

Is it efficient? Undeniably. Does it probably work better than the normal way? Oh certainly. Produce less of a mess? Probably?

But the existence of Condiment Udders gives me a deep, aghast disquiet.

Paris turns the Seine into an air conditioner. Beneath the city, 100 km of pipes now channel river water through heat exchangers to cool 800 buildings. The way the system works is by transferring heat through closed loops until it disperses back into the Seine. buff.ly/r3kL6K4
