It's a good time to remind each other that the paths to ending fascism are many & may intersect but are all necessary.

-protecting neighbors?✅
-protest?✅
-feeding protesters?✅
-calling electeds?✅
-sharing good information?✅

Just so we are all aware: yes, being politically active is a risk. Yes it will affect your career- it has affected mine. Yes it will put you in danger- I receive death threats regularly. But revolution for better or worse requires risk. Otherwise your writing stands for very little.

Just spent an afternoon supporting the students of Pacifica high school in their walkout protest, so proud to see all these kids out there. Great energy, and tons of support from passing cars.

Oh, look. The white president who thinks that asylum seekers come from insane asylums, that the Norwegian government gives out the Nobel Peace Prize, that stealth bombers are invisible to the naked eye, and that windmills cause cancer is talking about which black people have a "low IQ" again.

We cannot normalize this federal occupation of Minneapolis.

It is not normal to watch people abducted in front of our eyes—dragged from car windows, pulled from their homes, and children left without parents.

This is not about immigration. It’s about unchecked cruelty.

Wonder how many ICE agents realize that, when off duty, they could also be targeted under the same "standards" in which they are currently targeting our neighbors

This gets me to thinking about renewable energy and grid storage capacity.

Lead-acid is a well-understood technology. The driving force (well, one I suppose) for new tech is power density. No one wants a lead-acid battery in their cell phone.

I don’t think renewable energy cares as much. 1/
FYI, we're already doing this at scale for car parts like alternators and starters which only cost a couple hundred bucks.

We're already doing it with lead acid batteries (it's almost a closed-loop recycling system now!) so we're absolutely gonna do it with other battery chemistries, too.
Again, this is the kind of thing which is already happening in the background at scale which people may simply not be aware of.

A whole lot of aftermarket car parts are actually used car parts that got wear items like bearings or brushes replaced, cleaned up, and re-sold.

Would be amazing if European leaders would also start throwing out truth bombs like this. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Carney: "American hegemony in particular helped provide public goods, a stable financial system... this bargain no longer works. Let me be direct. We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition... recently, great powers have begun using economic integration as a weapon. Tariffs as leverage ... "
