This is absolutely spot on but I fear that the BBC’s general commitment to challenging specifics of stated policies in the granular detail seen last night by Victoria Derbyshire, is sporadic at best #r4today
Faragism is a political outlook that is driven by simplism, complaining and a generalised/selective nostalgia for 'the good old days'. There's no place within it for specifics so that's where it falls.

I mean, seriously: what does measles look like in an organ transplant recipient? In a leukemia patient who got a stem cell transplant? In a patient on chemo, or even a biologic for an autoimmune condition?

Nobody knows, bc those conditions haven't coexisted at scale. Yet.

A damn shame antivax sentiment has spread, causing diseases once eradicated to spread too—like measles, that if caught will wipe out the immune system’s memory of past infections. It’s also causing loss of herd immunity and there are folks who can’t get MMR vaccine. “YOU DO YOU” IS DOING OTHERS IN!

And another bites the dust?

The BBC World Service will run out of funding in just seven weeks. Its funding arrangement with the Foreign Office finishes at the end of March. There is no plan for what happens next.

- Epstein-Barr virus is perhaps the major trigger for multiple sclerosis
- herpes simplex virus causes cold sores, genital herpes, infections in babies, deadly meningitis
- shingles virus causes an intensely painful disease

Grazalema, Spain, received over 2,000 mm (78 inches) of rain in just the last 20 days.

Over a year’s worth of rain — and it’s only early February. This is hydrologically absurd.

The Government is planning to send King Charles to the US to celebrate with Trump. But after his latest insults to British troops, sending Charles, Head of the British Armed Forces, to honour Trump, would be a slap in the face to veterans. you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/ca...

Death toll in Afghanistan when NATO answered the US’s call:
- 453 Britons
- 158 Canadians
- 89 French
- 59 Germans
- 53 Italians
- 44 Danes
- 17 Spaniards
“Stayed a little back, off the front lines “!
No one in the media will call him out over this lie or any of the others he spouts.
Trump on NATO: "I've always said, will they be there if we ever needed them? That's really the ultimate test. I'm not sure of that. We've never needed them. They'll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan and this or that. And they did. They stayed a little back, off the front lines."

The BBC North America editor tells us that Trump doubts that NATO would respond if the US asked for help.

She doesn't point out that the US is the only NATO member which has ever invoked Article 5, and that it got help. From Denmark and others.
