STARMER’S LABOUR: THE MOST ANTI-LGBT+ GOVT SINCE THATCHER

A list of the government's shameful LGBT+ record – especially when it comes to attacking trans people.

Updated for the second time in two months because there have been six or seven things to add since January alone.

There's a word for the specific form of psychological abuse in which transphobia is disingenuously portrayed as concern, caution, or scientifically rigourous evidence:

Casslighting.

Starmer's Britain is one in which an NHS Doctor is dragged through the courts and shamed in the press for no crime she has committed and is ultimately forced into self-exile due to harassment Labour on all levels of politics enthusiastically supported

@zackpolanski.bsky.social : "Whenever Farage says jump, [Labour] say how high. You will never appease the right by doing that. They will just get more and more extreme"

Spot on. This is what people mean when they say Labour is ushering in the far right.

We should probably call it what is is: Unjustifiable pandering to those with deep prejudice, with no public benefit & multiple negative effects felt by entirely innocent citizens, many of whom are being systematically being removed from access to a meaningful life as part of a cohesive society.
Today's ruling on the EHRC's interim guidance is a disappointing, confusing and mixed picture.

A trans woman who is a customer in a café can use the women's toilets, but if she works there she might not be able to.

Once again everyday life is being made a legal labyrinth for trans people.
The High Court has ruled on our challenge to the EHRC’s interim guidance.

The judgment contains some good news for trans rights – but plenty of bad.

It appears Labour is the party splitting the vote and enabling Reform wins.

Time to vote Green to prevent a Farage government.
Fletton & Woodston (Peterborough) Council By-Election Result:

➡️ RFM: 29.4% (New)
🌍 GRN: 27.6% (+16.2)
🌳 CON: 21.8% (-11.8)
🌹 LAB: 16.8% (-31.2)
🔶 LDM: 4.4% (-0.7)

No TUSC (-1.9) as previous.

Reform GAIN from Labour.
Changes w/ 2024.

my generation was irrevocably harmed by thatcher's section 28. the next generation will be irrevocably harmed by @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social's section 28.

never forget that labour did this. not the tories or reform. labour are doing these things and they're using a discredited 'review' to justify it

Andrew Windsor had 24/7 Scotland Yard protection, when he was with Epstein, when Virginia Guiffre first met him, when he raped under-age girls
They report to the Met & Royal household
So police, Royals, Governments knew about Epstein & Andrews behaviour all along

The NCMD data on trans kids' suicides between 2019 and 2023 show a four-fold increase in 2021-22. That means we can confidently say that three-quarters of the suicides between 2021 and 2023 (23 trans children) were caused by the puberty-blocker ban.

23 children.

An American’s initial assessment after seeing glinner for the first time: fat incel clown.

I’ve not seen a more accurate 3 word description of him.
What an absolute load of horseshit.

Gender ideology and one's acceptance or denial of it - and more importantly the DEBATE over it - is the literal essence of free speech.

Whoever this fat incel clown is he doesn't know shit about free speech.

Hey dolls!

Can you help me?🧵1/6

This is difficult for me to share.

In 2020 my mum died, one of the hardest decisions I made at the time was pawning some of the jewellery she left me.

Simply to help with costs of her funeral!
