Imagine European security now if Ukrainians didn't hold the line in the East. Europe would be on the brink of a full scale war.
Maybe it's time Europeans started to appreciate the sacrifices Ukrainians have made and are making to keep Europe safe? The least we can do is to say "thank you".

Don't be afraid to call things by what they are. MAGA is a terrorist organization, ICE is a secret police force conducting Ethnic Cleansing, Elon Musk is an oligarch, and Trump is a foreign backed coup d'état figurehead. This is not an administration, this is a regime, and your country is occupied.

It is understandable that you
feel unwell,
for you live in sickening times:
the state of the world
will nauseate you,
the fear for the future
will exhaust you,
the spreading viruses
will infect you,
in these sickening times
what would be worrisome
is if you felt fine.

“Trump made clear his conversation with Putin would be focused on what Russia would retain in any cease-fire with Ukraine. He will, in essence, be negotiating over how large a reward Russia will receive for its 11 years of open aggression against Ukraine.”

Trump Discussion With Putin to Focus on What Ukraine Will Lose
In an echo of the Yalta Conference in 1945, the American and Russian leaders will talk on Tuesday about who gets what in the process of ending the war in Ukraine.

The US under Trump is now an absolute Hell No on countries I'd travel to. I have no desire to spend an indeterminate amount of time in a for-profit detention center because Marco Rubio dislikes some social media post of mine.

A Canadian, a Brit & two Germans were detained by ICE & held indefinitely

These are just the stories that make the news (likely in part because they’re white)

Stop traveling to the U.S.

Don’t assume you’re safe because you’re cishet, white, privileged, “there for work”.

No one is safe.

When you think about how original safety tests for cars didn't take into account women's sizes, or how PPE at beginning of covid-19 was designed for male bodies, you realise it's not just about good science. It's also the difference between life and death. Great piece by @ccriadoperez.bsky.social

Russians have not changed in 81 years.
Today 81 years ago, Russia bombed Tallinn, Estonia. The first attack saw 300 aircraft drop 3068 bombs, 1725 explosive and 1300 incendiary. Ca 800 killed, of whom ca 600 civilians. More than 20,000 people were left without a shelter, while the military objects were almost untouched.

The DOGE firings have nothing to do with “efficiency” or “cutting waste.” They’re a direct push to weaken federal agencies perceived as liberal. This was evident from the start, and now the data confirms it: targeted agencies overwhelmingly those seen as more left-leaning. 🧵⬇️
