Well, that’s quite enough teaching for one year. I’ll see the classroom again in February.

My apologies to Chris Hipkins.

Turns out this headline was poor framing by the Herald, and Labour, per @beefaerie.bsky.social , are, quite rightly, committed to pay equity.
Chris Hipkins won’t say if he’ll piss off half the voters in Aotearoa.

This is morally wrong, and it’s also some really bad politics too.

“Chief people officer.”

When the head HR Karen doesn’t believe in work-life balance, you’re looking at some serious worker-exploitation energy shit going on there.

But then, it is Walmart. Hard to be too shocked.

Those experts were apparently too fucking stupid to know that the "wisdom" that people tend to become more conservative as they get older is because they USED to have accrued some wealth and investments as they get older.

Us millenials did not get that.

Save money *and* hurt the vulnerable?

Brilliant!
There's a sentence in this article noting that these changes save the government money.
So they're going to proceed despite receiving strong advice about the harms it will cause to already vulnerable populations and the probable *increase* in costs over the long term.

The emails reveal the special training given to FBI personnel working on what it called the “Epstein Transparency Project.” In some instances they referred to it as the “Special Redaction Project.” The training entailed PowerPoint slide presentations and video instruction on how to review the files.
