An extreme Kansas bill will invalidate the drivers license of every trans person in the state. It was passed alongside a particularly extreme bathroom bill, meaning that the implications of every trans Kansan losing legal ID overnight has largely been missed.

My wife and I are trans so JK Rowling hanging out with Epstein AFTER his actual conviction as a child predator, and then having the fucking audacity to say she's protecting women and children from trans folks is just infuriating. It wasn't about protecting anyone. It was always hateful bigotry.

All JK Rowling's talk about protecting women and children is such bs. It was always about hating trans people. She invited him to the Harry Potter Broadway opening in 2018. This was way after Epstein was convicted of soliciting sex from a minor.
JK Rowling's team invited Jeffery Epstein to the deathly hallows play and to a Harry potter dinner.

It's not about peoplers are going to die, people have. It's about the needless suffering and death that we can absolutely stop but apparently there are people out there that don't care to do that. That's the worst part of all this. This doesn't need to happen but there are people that want it to.
'measles outbreak at the child prison' seems entirely avoidable, it's really the kind of thing that only happens if you do several unthinkably evil things on purpose all at once

What happened a couple decades ago in printer development that created devices you have to trouble shoot randomly. Print a random page? Nope! The printer lost the modem, the printer says it's offline, the printer says it's out of ink when it's full.

I cannot tell you how much I loath printers.

I once had an immigration client that had been in Richmond, VA disappear for a few days then pop up again in Tacoma, WA. We had to engage local counsel in Washington State to continue to represent her. This was during the Obama administration.
Excellent explanation of how ICE moves immigrants from one prison facility to another to deny them access to justice.

As thousands of amped up men are deployed in the streets and taught there are no consequences for killing anyone who refuses to submit to their authority, we should anticipate more violence to come.

After all: The violence is the point.

As the latest Epstein files circulate, I want you to consider one thing:

If these men, doing such vile things, about which they communicated with hundreds of people for *decades*, could escape public scrutiny for this long -

imagine how many men have gotten away with garden variety sexual assault.

some good news buried among the horrible behavior listed:

“The third woman said federal agents at her hotel are subsisting on microwavable bowls of Campbell’s chicken noodle soup, because it’s become so difficult for them to find restaurants willing to serve them.”
I visited hotels all over Minneapolis, went into back rooms & talked to the staff.

They're afraid.

One told me she resents how her undocumented coworkers spend their days cleaning the rooms of agents who are “hunting down their family members.”

While it may explain some of the context, this framing also hides that women scientists didn't cozy up to epstein the way men did. They also need funding, no? This is also about being part of a powerful boys club where one can act in despicable ways with impunity. Misogyny is a huge driving factor.
