The moment when 30 million American's received healthcare (2010) The moment when insurance companies had to start covering preexisting conditions, young adults could stay on their family's policy and I could trust that the small print couldn't screw me if I needed serious medical assistance. 🇺🇸

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

October payments for 20 school districts across our state have yet to be issued, and there's no good reason for it.

These are the consequences of the Trump Administration's attacks on the Department of Education. It's gotta stop.

The insurance racket takes the “care”out of healthcare.
Here's a thought.
DENTAL and VISION should be covered by regular health insurance. We need to eliminate the need to have separate insurance for those two things, dammit. It's ridiculous.

Hope is Alive.

And while we cast our ballots alone, we chose hope together. Hope over tyranny. Hope over big money and small ideas. Hope over despair. We won because New Yorkers allowed themselves to hope that the impossible could be made possible.

My Mayor Mamdani.

Confusing double standard,
the current president of our country had a thinner resume. He only ran a company with his own children as employees. “The King of Debt” went bankrupt more than not, and yet no one complains about his inexperience in government.
Mr. Mamdani has been a backbench lawmaker in the State Assembly for less than five years. His first and only full-time job outside of politics involved counseling struggling homeowners at a small nonprofit in Queens for about a year. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/02/n...

If we build it, they will come.
CA NY IL MA & WA represent 87 M people & can form a health insurance mkt w/ negotiating power to force down hosp reimb rates, slash med prices & cut premiums. Legal authority to do this already exists.
Sec 1333 of the ACA explicitly allows states to form Health Care Choice Compacts across st lines.

Good, thank you.
Also, for your consideration, make school meals free for all public schoolchildren. The distribution of meals to any child in school can really support young families.
Rural Washington will be hit particularly hard when federal SNAP benefits stop.

In Yakima County, for example, 28% of residents rely on SNAP — the highest percentage of any county.

This week, I announced that I’ll be directing $2.2 million per week to support food banks.

Teachers everywhere will do their best, and all that will help. We did this in the 2009 recession. But that can’t replace the steady, secure system of government funded SNAP benefits.

SNAP provides 9 meals for every 1 meal a food bank provides; philanthropy can’t fill that gap indefinitely.
Teachers everywhere are doing what they can to help. Sending extra food home in backpacks, creating food drives, and buying as many classroom
snacks as our paychecks allow. No child should be hungry. Period

Exactly.
The healthcare crisis IS an
earth shattering corruption scheme that ends badly for us all.

Sky high premiums, so that
Folks go uninsured, so that
Hospitals close, so that
Folks don’t get preventative care,
Folks can’t pay for emergency care,
A nation of medical debt,
Collapsed economy.
I don't understand why there's not more talk about Dems running against earth-shattering nepotism, corruption, and self-enrichment
In the first half of this year, the income of President Trump's family business soared 17-fold to $864 million, based almost entirely on new crypto ventures that have been a magnet for overseas cash, a Reuters investigation found.

The school districts should not allow this. Take these people to court. At the very least there should be limits on this traumatizing behavior in the presence of other staff and students.

Did the agents show a warrant?
Why are they manhandling children?
Why do they bring a film crew?
Shameful.
ICE followed the mother into a school and aggressively detained her along with her children.
This is so heartbreaking 💔
