There is no vote-seeking party with the same platform at this point. Democrats do not want to dismantle ICE. Call me when the Bernie-AOC rallies promise to abolish ICE and other authoritarian bodies that exist thanks to the “War on Drugs” and “War on Terror.”
This is stupid discourse, and all in defense of people like fucking Musk and Hesgeth. Plenty of the people who are appalled have struggled with addiction themselves - I wouldn’t and WOULD NOT WANT to be propped up the way these men have been, it only makes your addiction so much fucking worse.
I think it’s something we’re watching an aggressive effort to entrench white supremacy and a *lot* of people have decided now is the perfect time to push back on ideas like “addiction isn’t a moral failure” and “people suffering from war deserve support.”
