everything sucks forever right now, but also: it's Awesome Games Done Quick-week, so I'm going to spend the next seven days watching people do fun things to raise a lot of money for important medical work and cling to the fact that there's some good left out there with both white-knuckled hands.

Grok can't apologize. Grok can, when prompted, generate a word sequence that is statistically similar to the colloquial phrases we think of as "apologies," but Grok cannot actually apologize because Grok isn't sentient. Except that's not what alt text is for, it is "descriptive text that conveys the meaning of an image in digital content."
I get it, it's a nice cheat because alt text allows 2000 characters here vs. 300.
