Our blog posts get auto-posted to social media. I don't use FB myself, but went in there to post this. I don't expect to see similar attacks from any Bsky users, but figured I should elaborate on my personal opinion here.
Hey, this is John. I don't do Facebook myself, but I know we're getting some of the usual "keep politics out of your games!" scolding and worse in comments and DMs, so I thought I'd come here to take some of the heat myself instead of leaving it all to our patient Customer Service staffer. If it really upsets you that we as a corporate entity object to the violence currently being perpetrated against our fellow Minnesotans under color of law -- things like a Hmong-American grandpa (US citizen!) being abducted from his homes wearing only a bathrobe, in sub-zero windchills, to say nothing of Renee Good being murdered with impunity (and the federal government announcing it will not investigate her shooter, but instead is investigating her widow, our governor, and the mayor of Minneapolis) -- there is something wrong with you. If you think it is unacceptable for a family-owned business, its owners, and its employees to express solidarity with their neighbors in these circumstances, there is something wrong with you. Maybe you think this is all a made-up thing. Seek professional help or religious counseling, and God help you when it is on your own doorstep. In the meantime, if you feel you need to block us or burn our games or remove them from your store shelves or whatever, as some way to protect your self-image as a True American Defender of Liberty, be my guest. The studio is closed today in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. On this National Day of Service we encourage everyone to volunteer with community organizations near you. We spent a couple hours supporting Second Harvest Heartland and had a great time!

Our group packed 350 boxes of apples and 667 bags of cereal. That's 14,586 pounds: nearly 14000 meals!

I haven't had a lot of gaming time lately, but in Wyatt's limited screentime he likes to play "nana game" (Donkey Kong Bananza) with dad.

We finally rolled credits, though given his love of it I think we're going to keep going for 100% (and finish by ... high school graduation at this rate?)

If you know a dice-maker please pass this on to them - it'll make their dice roll fairer on average.

Text goes into detail: "All d20 layouts that are fully balanced numerically" There are only six number layouts (and their reflections) for a d20 that are optimally fair. The most common layout (where the 20 is surrounded by 2, 14, 8) is NOT numerically balanced, apart from by opposite-face sum (Which only helps negate bias from a squashed shape). d20 dice with the above layouts should roll the expected value (10.5) on average, even if their shape is squashed (common for very old, cheap, or melted dice), their center of mass is offset (common in dice with inserts, multiple materials, air bubbles), or are not fully isohedral where faces/edges are slightly different (common for handcrafted gem/glass/metal dice, and dice not evenly tumbled). Key features: - Opposite faces always sum 21 (two faces with an average value of 10.5) - Faces around each vertex always sum 53 or 52 (five faces with average value of 10.6 or 10.4) - A face's three adjacent faces always sum 32 or 31 (three faces with average value of 10.666 or 10.333) Feel free to use any of thes layouts above for your own dice to make them fairer overall.
