One would hope that media outlets eventually understood that many of their readership woes stem from having no standards for conservatives.

But the reality is that management prioritizes right-wing propaganda over profits, so they're not going to change.
👀 Apparently, Ross Douthat invited Seth Harp to debate him on Douthat's "Interesting Times" NYT podcast. Harp says that the episode was recorded, Douthat got crushed, and RD/NYT decided not to publish it.

another great thing out of Baltimore:
🚨 New: We built a visual tracker of the warehouses ICE is targeting across the US.

Working off an idea from @actualkatherine.bsky.social, we’ve mapped active searches, canceled deals, and linked state property records.

Once again: if these LLMs could actually do all the things their owners claim, they wouldn’t be selling access. They would be building and selling all the things they claim their software can do.

Decades of calcified white flight in action
It is just insane suburbs jerks who wouldn't be caught dead in the city anyway. Mt. Vernon has been struggling for a while. I think some of it is post-pandemic issues.

Working people pay taxes on every paycheck.

The ultrarich don’t.

The top 0.1% now hold $1 in every $6 of US wealth, protected by loopholes that let fortunes grow, untaxed, across generations.

Extreme wealth becomes political and economic power. 🧵⬇️

My unrealistic fever dream of justice:
1️⃣ blue wave large enough to impeach/remove Trump, Vance, Rubio, & several SC justices (SA, CT, BK at min.)
2️⃣ Truth & Reconciliation hearings in Congress to reveal scope of crimes
3️⃣ special council RICO investigation connects ICE & they’re all charged w/ murder.
Marco Rubio: "The oil proceeds are being deposited into an account that ultimately will become a US Treasury blocked account here in the US. We will say 'this is what this money can be spent on.' They will submit to us a budget request -- 'we want to use the money on these things.'"

teams should absolutely boycott the World Cup from a moral standpoint of course. but at the end of the day it’s corporations who control our politics and economic system. the more they hurt, the more they will at least pretend to care about morality once they start to lose $.

Minneapolis and Minnesota are amazing for what they have accomplished and will accomplish. And speaking as somebody who pissed off a solid third of Maine one time, ICE is about to be mopped… BUT… have we heard any updates on Memphis? www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
I'm a veteran criminal justice reporter. I've never seen anything like ICE-occupied Memphis.

For any elected official who needs to hear this, I impart a lesson learned from the NFL:

When the other team is tired and on the back foot, you don’t call a timeout so they can catch their breath. You grind their fucking face into the dirt until the final whistle blows and you’ve won the game.

We’re at the point that resistance must come from everywhere. And since fascists like Trump love their sports, it’s a great time for any person or entity who has leverage to initiate a boycott or take steps to straight up cancel the World Cup games or 2028 Olympics. FIFA won’t, but US soccer could.
