Great thread. This is nothing new but the effects are getting uncomfortably close to drastically altering our relationship with the rest of the western world for the foreseeable future.
NATO’s strength is not just weapons, it is trust. Trump threatening NATO allies with tariffs over Greenland blows a hole in that trust, isolates the U.S. economically and militarily, and pushes the world closer to major-power conflict in a nuclear-armed era. (Thread)
