I listened to this, I've read the captions, I listened again, and I still don't know what the hell he is saying.
Trump: "Christians and more, think of this, more than twice as likely foster care they'll adopt the general population. They adopt to it so easily. When they get out, they adopt to it like it's become second nature. It's amazing."

Still feeling rough from either a cold or allergies, so I'm just going to watch @nprtinydesk.bsky.social all day. I'm learning about so much great music. Started with Kim Davis Trio, now listening to Emily King, who is amazing.

This tweet by Kaloline Leavitt is the dumbest thing I've heard so far this week. DoorDash data?

Do people who have lost their jobs or are not getting a paycheck use DoorDash a lot? I haven't used DoorDash in over a month. I'm guessing others haven't either.
They’ve laid off so many people that the government is now getting its economic data from DoorDash.

Sooooooo, penalize the air traffic controllers because they didn't come to work during the shutdown, but House Republicans get a pass? This is the worst administration in history.

instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

There's a shocker. Hmmmm, how many of us told Schumer and the other Dems that this would happen?
November 11, 2025 at 1:56 AM
He's delusional. No Republican is going to think the Dems are standing for them. They see weak people who folded rather than the weak people of the president's party who wouldn't stand up to him and for the American people. This is a fiasco.
Kaine on why he thinks just getting a vote on healthcare is a win: "We're the minority party, but everybody will get to see who is standing for them when it comes to lowering their healthcare costs"

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

Gutted by the Dems caving after the blue-wave wins of last week? Sick & tired of us snatching defeat from the jaws of victory? I hear you! Might I suggest you calm yourself, relax, take a deep, cleansing breath... then see if this photo of 2 pandas cuddling is of any help.

Largest protest in history. Dems won in a blue wave across the country. Trump booed so loudly at a football game that you couldn't hear him speaking into a microphone. Everyone except MAGA call this the Rep/Trump shutdown. Make the Republicans stand up to him, pass a budget, and dare him to veto.

Democrats have to stop bailing out Republicans from facing the consequences of their own policies. And yeah, that means they have to stop sparing voters from experiencing what GOP government truly means.

Every time Dems step in, it only emboldens the GOP & they make it even worse the next time.
So Democrats get:

1. A CR that will prevent the GOP from facing the wrath of Americans for a shutdown over the holidays

2. A coupon for one (1) meaningless ACA vote that will fail

3. An end to the illegal RIF/SNAP moves that are already before the courts

Those all seem like wins for the GOP.

OVER A MILLION USERS

DISCUSS SUICIDE WITH CHATGPT

EVERY *WEEK*

what the fuck are we DOING here
Panera’s moderately caffeinated lemonade was loosely associated with 2 deaths before it was taken off market.

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.
I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.
