Really interesting article about how pubs are a microcosm of wider economic problems

"The UK economy increasingly extracts value from assets such as land, housing, infrastructure, rather than producing it. The pub is a perfect case study"

Maybe let’s not change our ability to cross the road because Big Tech wants to call the shots 🤡

If your driverless car will hit someone crossing the road, maybe it’s not good? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There is speculation that the introduction of driverless cars could lead to jaywalking laws in the UK

65% of Britons would oppose making jaywalking a minor offence, including 41% "strongly opposed"

Only 24% are would support such rules

On almost everything – fraud, polarisation, radicalisation, misinformation – evidence suggests that over 60s are in much more urgent need of online protection and education than teenagers.

But that issue gets zero political attention, and is a total non-starter. Nothing good will come of it.
This was a minor story on London news this morning - but suspect is a real cautionary (and alarming) tale of an older man getting radicalised online.

Great proposal this. Continues to be incredibly funny and incredibly stupid that for years we've *banned* bus and rail operators "colluding" to make their timetables integrate with each other.
Fantastic to see my Mini Switzerland idea covered by the BBC.

It captures so many people’s imaginations because it’s both obvious, simple and yet - from where we are today - unspeakably radical.

It's weird, I hated Theresa May coz she was a nasty xenophobe whose pet project was the hostile environment. This lot hated her coz she wasn't corrupt enough for their liking.
