One underappreciated thing about Zohran Mamdani, he never says "I respect my opponent and we just have different ideas blah blah", he straight up hates Andrew Cuomo and everything Cuomo stands for, and he put in the extra legwork during the campaign to make sure that guy lost twice.

I think we should address the epidemic of conservative-on-conservative crime first.
If progressives have to organize a doxacide against conservatives in order to preserve law and order, that's really conservatives' fault for failing to police themselves.

Cuomo did kinda prove me wrong on one point: apparently it IS actually possible for a democrat to go so far right that they can finally win over Republican voters. They just can't do it and still win.
The last month of the anti-Mamdani campaign was an absolutely shameful undertaking, an attempt to rip the city and Democratic coalition apart and I'm very happy to see it failed.

I've been saying this for years now. Walmart and all such chain stores should have to build solar canopies at their own expense, which become municipal property upon their completion.
South Korea has mandated solar canopies for large parking lots. It's a no-brainer. We could offer firms incentives to do it here, or they could just friggin' do it! (H/t @assaadrazzouk.bsky.social)
