I wonder if we can get 10s of thousands of people singing oh Canada together in Alberta at one time. Locations set up across the province and coordinated to begin at the same time?

Sure a lot more trolls and maggats on here last little while. Sigh.

This whole thread. But especially this.
Americans face a choice now. Keep placing the sign in the window. Or acknowledge what Carney named in Davos: this is a rupture, not a transition. The institutions will not save themselves. Remove the sign.

Made the horrible decision to read the news about the line ups to sign for separation. Why do they get so damned much airtime? No one interviewed all the Albertans who thought separating was dumb. Nauseated by the whining, stupid comments and Pavlovian responses to family, faith, freedom, patriot.

Only recently described by science, the mysterious mushrooms are found in different parts of the world, but they give people the same exact visions.

Shut up Lutnick. Lord you guys are stupid. Keep talking down to us; I’m sure we’ll grovel at your feet. I’m getting so anti American I don’t know if I’ll ever come back from this. The arrogance. The absolute blind arrogance. It’s unreal in its stupidity.

Mark Carney hits it out of the park at Davos with a seminal speech, penned by him.

Some Canadians: “Great, but now do this . . “

I know we all have high standards (which is a helluva privilege) but maybe keep in mind the insane degree of difficulty of his job.

Fantastic! Let’s get this done asap. Thank you Senator Simons!
The PBO opted to base its model on $50 CAN, assuming that cost would be low enough to encourage Canadians to apply. At $55, they predict, such a program could be full cost recovery. At $100 per application, it would make a profit!

and why dont we see videos from the drivers perspective of playing on their phone only to look up (or even not) and find they have murdered someone?

One must also conclude that there is something deeply wrong with the government he heads and the nation that installed and tolerates him.

Mark Carney takes the sign out of the window. A brave and powerful speech, calling for middle powers to stop appeasing and pretending this is business as usual - and start building new alliances. I think this is the speech - and the PM - that a lot of Canadians have been waiting for. #cdnpoli #Davos

Danielle Smith is entirely responsible for allowing this separatist rhetoric to continue. It’s also a distraction from the real issues facing Alberta right now, like the health care crisis in our hospitals and emergency rooms.

You deserve better. For Alberta and for Canada.

It's the University of Alberta's @jaredwesley.ca speaking at the McGill Institute for the Study of Canada, LIVE.

Tune in, too, if that's up your alley:

It’s not a distraction.

If it seems like far-right govts are very busy dismantling the world around you, it’s because all of those things are the Main Event. They want to do it all. It’s all their priority, not a massive circular distraction.

There’s no conspiracy or marionette strings.
Cripes a’mighty people, Steven Miller is not staging a militarized ethnic cleansing and sending the border cops to murder people in the street to distract from the Epstein files. He’s doing it because he and Trump (and Vance and Homan and Noem etc) really really want to.
