The New York Times admits that, in response to Israel's foreign ministry attacking Mamdani for rescinding the use of the IHRA in municipal policy, "much of that attention [online] was negative, accusing Israel of seeking to impinge on Americans’ freedom of speech.".

The impression I got about Trump is that the Democratic Party was happy to keep him around after January 6 because they figured he was an automatic L for Republicans, & it would liberate Democrats to run in 2024 without having to do anything, like run a non-senile candidate or stop arming a genocide
any time jan 6th "NEVER FORGET" stuff rolls around is so funny cuz the reaction from regular ass people was shock and loud condemnation and that action had to be taken and the reaction from the most important electeds directly threatened by it was "daaaaaamn, that shit was crazy! what's for lunch"

Why did the Democratic Party elite expect VOTERS to take the 2024 election seriously, when instead of acting like they took it seriously themselves, they treated it like a Make A Wish Foundation project for Joe Biden’s senile desire to run for a 2nd term while genociding Palestinians?
The American people electing Trump after he staged a coup attempt 5 years ago was a nail in the coffin of our democracy. You can rationalize it all you want - But inflation! But wokeness! - but ultimately it was a societal suicide attempt and probably the dumbest collective voting decision ever made

you know one thing dems do not need and have never needed overwhelming majorities to do is to stop talking about republicans as their respectable colleagues who they hope will do the right thing and the fever will break any minute now, and to start talking about them as enemies who must be defeated
A lot of people are mad at Schumer for saying this. But he's right. Democrats don't control a single branch of government and they can't pass anything. Only Republicans can rein in Trump because they control both chambers of Congress. Democrats have no cards to play here.
Schumer: "Republicans must -- if there was ever a time, they must step up to the plate. This is the time. And if they don't, they're gonna feel the heat from their constituents."

MILLER: Greenland should be part of the US. By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? The US is the power of NATO

hes not right at all. the republicans are part of the crew looting the bank. the response is not to say "the looters must stop looting." he should be saying "theyre all a bunch of looters, elect us to stop looting, we are the anti-looting party" but that would be effective and schumer is not.

All of this could have been avoided, but the Democratic Party’s priority in 2024 was not to win the election, but to treat the 2024 election like a Democratic Party Make A Wish Foundation Project and indulge Joe Biden’s lifelong desire to arm & fund the genocide of Palestinians.

Technically, the 9/11 attacks were also "well conceived and courageously executed." Does not mean we gotta hand it to them.

If your premise is that the raid and government overthrow were illegal, then you should be advising service members to not follow such orders, as it is their duty not to.
Democratic Senator Jack Reed calls the Venezuela operation "well conceived and courageously executed" before adding the campaign is "illegal"

The reason that Democrats won’t even do the bare minimum and say what they’d do if given power is that they don’t want any kind of paper trail to which people could hold them accountable, & are instead hoping to gain power through voter backlash and Democratic inertia (which may still happen.)

Why show up to work at all then? At minimum, as the opposition party you say "This wouldn't happen if we were in power and if you give us power here's how we'll impose consequences on the president's lawbreaking." Have they outlined that in any real way?

1. Gestures actually matter

2. Learned helplessness is not a winning campaign strategy

3. This is a hilariously ignorant thing to say with such unabashed confidence 24 days before the government shuts down again
They don't have any power to do anything. They have none. Zero. Zilch. Everything else is virtue signaling. It's futile gestures.
