This is really just the opening premise of the Ware Tetralogy
SpaceX to focus on Moon settlements instead of Mars?!? Wow, it is hard to overstate what a change -- what a climb-down -- this is for Musk. It has always been Mars for him. Full stop. Supposedly the goal behind *everything* he does.

.... which is why we need to be supporting primary challengers right now - people who will vocally oppose this leadership, instead of supporting and going along with them.

A vote for an incumbent senator is a vote for many things, but one of those things *is* a vote for Chuck Schumer's leadership.
you read about the German, Austrian, and Polish social democratic parties being like "we can just wait these fascists out" and you shake your head, wondering how anyone could possibly be so obtuse. then you take a sip of coffee and read about what Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are up to in 2026
U.K. might lose a prime minister because a guy who worked for him knew another guy who hung out with Epstein. Meanwhile the U.S. opposition party is telling our President, who was Epstein's best friend, that his secret police should get better training so their public street murders look less messy.

I’m starting to think abolishing ICE isn’t enough, at this point we need to start seriously considering abolishing the GOP altogether, maybe even the Democrat Party too

Microsoft Windows is operating at 2006 levels of uselessness and I really don’t have time to experiment with my Wine/PlayonLinux running of Office on Ubunti(Don’t tell me to use Scrivener or a Linux compatible Word Processor, they don’t work as well for my neccessary work flows), so that’s fun.

Once again, the whining Nazis think they’re scoring hits, but are only showing themselves to be out of touch & in decline by every measure. Bad Bunny looks better & better, while they expose themselves as sulking children.

Look, all I'm saying is that if you just spent the last six years being frustrated with Durbin and you think there's a chance he's about to be replaced with a guy who thanks ICE for their service and takes AIPAC and crypto money, you should treat it like a very serious emergency

This will seriously disrupt aid getting into the county. Any country that even wants to pretend to care about Cuba and sovereignty needs to bring jet fuel to Cuba immediately
Cuban government has informed airlines that they only have about 24 hours worth of fuel left for planes.

Beyond the obvious damage that suddenly shutting down any country's air travel would have, a not at all small % of food and medicine in Cuba comes by luggage on airlines
