I want to tell you why the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia should matter to you.

The one power you cannot give the executive is the ability to imprison or expel anyone regardless of their legal rights. That is our key check against autocracy. And we are watching it disappear.

8/ This is a watershed moment, as Trump thumbs his nose at a Supreme Court ruling, gaslighting the public by pretending his won 9-0 when he lost 9-0.

If we normalize this, there's no end. He can lock up or remove anyone. We will no longer exist in a democracy.

Hi, BlueSky. It's Hillary.

I've joined up here to help get the word out about an important election in Wisconsin tomorrow, and other ways to defend our democracy against those who think votes can be bought.

If you think Wisconsin’s Supreme Court race doesn’t affect you just because you don’t live there—think again. If Musk pulls this off, it’s one step closer to him buying an election near you.

Got friends, family, or even followers in Wisconsin? Tell them to get out and vote the right way. 📢

2 days until WI’s April 1 election. And a reminder about Brad Schimel’s reproductive rights record:
* He called WI’s 1849 abortion ban “valid”
* Said it was an “honor” to have a case named Planned Parenthood v. Schimel
* Helped create the legal framework to overturn Roe v. Wade

In case you missed it with everything else going on: yesterday Senate Republicans voted to bring back overdraft fees. Everything Republicans do is to make corporations and banks richer at your expense.

Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.

This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.

Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.

And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).

I thought only I noticed the use of the word LIES in today’s Times but now I see that we’ve all been waiting for it. The word occurs 7x. 10 years it took. @peterbakernyt.bsky.social was there a discussion over finally using it? Has the damn broken?

Rep Raskin has been great. Rep Ocasio-Cortez has been great. And Rep Frost and Rep Crockett. Senator Murphy. Maybe no one knew exactly what to do. But such people laid down a clear marker. Let’s respect these and other elected federal representatives who stood out these first few weeks.
