Among the minors to be cut are African American Studies and Philosophy and Religion, both of which are housed in the Department of English and World Languages (no doubt the result of earlier consolidation). And, indeed, they cannot cost much to make available to students.

“Grayson had worked for six different law enforcement agencies in Illinois over four years despite a history of misconduct and convictions for driving under the influence, among other violations.”
Sean Grayson, the sheriff’s deputy who shot and killed Sonya Massey in 2024, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. He was found guilty of second-degree murder last fall.
