This has been a devastating loss for so many in the Princeton community and beyond. Alison was a wonderful scholar, teacher, mentor, colleague, and community member and it was a privilege to have known her.
Alison Isenberg, distinguished urban historian and co-founder of Princeton-Mellon Initiative in Architecture, Urbanism and the Humanities, dies
A public memorial and celebration of Isenberg’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the University Chapel.

Absolutely parents had to be involved.
Evidently there was an Auschwitz-themed float in a Halloween parade in Pennsylvania.

The float was for a Catholic school, and to their credit the church immediately disavowed it.

Thing is, I don’t think high school kids did this entirely on their own. I’m guessing parents had to be involved.

This beautiful work is so worth your time. It is an amazing resource for #AcRel scholars, teachers, students and anyone interested in the history of progressive Christianity, religion and sexuality in America, and more.
Very delighted that this project, so many years in the making, is out in the world today. Listen to learn more about AIDS, about progressive religion, and about how a community gets through a crisis. We all need to know more about that last thing. slate.com/podcasts/whe...
