REMEMBER:

Schumer said that he couldn't risk a government shutdown, because, if the government shut down, Trump and Musk could fire whomever they wanted.

Now the government is open and Trump and Musk are firing whomever they want.
BREAKING — The DHS Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties is being eliminated entirely via Reduction in Force (RIF), an agency source tells me. Staff have not been given reassignment options. Functions of the office will supposedly be assigned to other offices.

These billionaires don’t think democracy should exist. So it’s one or the other.
Hey so FYI this is why a lot of us believe billionaires should not exist. Because no one should be rich enough to topple a government

I’ve written ab the importance of social media as a tool of power for American politicians for 10yrs. Post 2020 I still got pushback ab whether MSM was actually more important.

Notice who’s sitting in this row, and who isn’t. It only took 4 yrs. Pretty conclusive what *they* think matters more.

Elon Musk doing the Nazi salute at Trump’s inauguration rally. Did it twice, actually.

Don’t waste time arguing with the people telling us that’s not what happened. They’re not mistaken, they are engaged in propaganda.

Faced with authoritarianism in power, it is crucial we trust our own eyes.

AUTHORITARIAN KRYPTONITE IS NONCOMPLIANCE

the only thing they have is people choosing to go along with the ruse.

The minute alllllll the people busy propping up the evil say: Nah, not today, they are out of business.

Decide how you’re gonna help gum up the works of harm.
Even if he does it is worth resisting! I find all the talk of whether Trump’s power is legitimate baffling, honestly. He’s a straightforward authoritarian! The main reason to push back is all of the stuff he is going to do, not how his vote total stacks up to previous presidents.
Trump does not have a mandate.

Donold just pardoned roughly 1,500 Jan. 6 criminals. Which means it’s now okay to attack the Capitol now as long as your side wins in the future??

"President Donald Trump pardoned about 1,500 people who stormed the Capitol in his name on Jan. 6, 2021... The sweeping grant of clemency includes 'full, complete and unconditional' pardons for some of the most notorious participants in the attack, including hundreds convicted of assaulting police"
Trump issues sweeping pardons for Jan. 6 rioters
The action laid waste to the Justice Department’s four-year drive to punish the first disruption of the transfer of power in American history.

I have to admit, were I a democratic congressperson, I'd look at rebasing my home and as much of my operations out of D.C. and into Maryland, so that any assaults or breakins become state crimes that cannot be pardoned by the president.

Respectfully (and I genuinely mean this), I’ve never heard a single regular person ask for “bipartisanship.” That’s inside nonsense.

They want things to work.

If the other party refuses to work for people, be the ones who will. Fight for people. Make it plain who isn’t, and who THEY’RE for.
It is time to look to the future.

The challenges that face America are many and great.

The Senate must respond with resolve, bipartisanship, and fidelity to the working and middle class of this country.

The ERA is in uncharted territory. The archivist? The time-out? Nobody fucking knows, people. That's the point. If, instead of rolling our eyes and saying this is meaningless, we locked in and said "this is real," it becomes real *until they take it away*

DON'T DO THEIR FUCKING WORK FOR THEM!
TIRED: "well obviously this thing Biden did on his way out will be overturned immediately, so it means nothing"
WIRED in a way that's *useful*: "Biden says the ERA is ratified, and if [when] SCOTUS says it's not, they're illegitimately taking rights away from women and we need to demand them back"

You can broadcast for 9 mins on a declining medium, or engage here and start a real discussion.
