Democratic party leadership has been on autopilot for ten years, they weren't losing to fascism, fascism isn't popular enough for them to lose to fascism, they were allowing it to fill the void where their leadership should have been. Tonight we're seeing that we have other options. They should too.

Trump signs an executive order tasking Hegseth to establish "specialised units" within the National Guard to "deal with public order issues" across the US.

Using the US Military against the American public.

Jesus Christ. Just horrific levels of crimes against humanity happening every day in Gaza. Our country keeps supplying weaponry to the perpetrators of this atrocity, which makes us equally culpable. May all those involved never know peace.

This is the most backward, irredeemable administration of evil fuckwits… your standard dystopian fiction could never. This plot would have been deemed too heavy-handed and juvenile by even the most cut-rate publisher.

I’m not making this up; that’s literally the reason.

but instead opt-outs are virtually impossible and it's force-fed down your throat like ducks being prepared for foie gras

I see this happening all over Charlottesville, nowadays: from the failed Champion Hosp. Group, to owners of various international cuisine restaurants opening multiple locations under different names. This article has interesting things to say about the flattening of food scenes due to this concept.
