I’m so struck by this video. A regular day in Logan Square in front of a grocery store and ICE pulls up and tear gassed people. Funston Elementary School is right across the street as well. This is a major corridor in Logan Sq. No concern for human safety

I find Pritzker’s earnest rebukes of the Trump regime far more appropriate and engaging than Newsom’s all-caps tweets and general trolling. Plus, Pritzker has doubled down on protecting the most vulnerable in our community while Newsom has thrown them under the bus for cheap political points.
Pritzker: To the members of the press who are assembled here today and listening across the country, I am asking for your courage to tell it like it is. This is not a time to pretend here that there are two sides to this story.

•Section 9 forbids suspending The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus

it appears that two of our Uptown neighbors who lived outside of the Sheridan Dollar Tree died last night. i am mourning for them and enraged at our socio-economic system that puts greed, selfishness, and profit above basic human dignity and wellbeing and all else. it’s hard not to feel powerless
