Genuinely, as someone who plays several live service games I always have a checklist that's like
- Ask yourself if you're having fun
- Never have a "forever game", play or read or do other stuff alongside it
- Don't set paid subs to auto-renew
- Think about what you want, not what the game wants

i know at a minimum 4 people that have gotten laid off in the last 3 months, all completely unrelated to performance issues, doesn’t seem good. can’t say i’ve seen something like this in my entire post-college life
