What makes this scene so good for me is that this series is about a girl who lost her family at a very young age, she's been passively suicidal ever since, and she finds motivation to live because this mermaid girl promises to kill her. But it takes time to balance that with the girls being dorks.
I forgot to watch it last week but the new This Monster Wants to Eat Me episode is really good, I like the part where she hits the Hanna Barbera

What makes this scene so good for me is that this series is about a girl who lost her family at a very young age, she's been passively suicidal ever since, and she finds motivation to live because this mermaid girl promises to kill her. But it takes time to balance that with the girls being dorks.
Genuinely, as someone who plays several live service games I always have a checklist that's like
- Ask yourself if you're having fun
- Never have a "forever game", play or read or do other stuff alongside it
- Don't set paid subs to auto-renew
- Think about what you want, not what the game wants
- Ask yourself if you're having fun

the best way to get out of an extrinsic game that you find yourself still playing despite disliking is to just force yourself to miss an event in-game. if you're the completionist type it's an extremely fast way to sever yourself from it

Hot take but it feels like some Granblue players tend to sink into the habit of "this setup made by someone else is The Defacto Best/Optimal and all others are Unusable" and it ends up making them incurious in regards to teambuilding and exploring alternatives.

frankly, the loudest voices against ffxiv rn are people that are explicitly outrage peddlers, many of which don't even play the game
the content releases in the last year have been notably higher quality compared to Endwalker

FF14 being nominated for best ongoing in a year when I have seen its players do very little but constantly complain about a quality dip, with devs even copping to it, while Street Fighter 6 on a total tear not even getting a nod is making my head spin
