you can't just bring back austin powers. the franchise wrote itself into a corner after he volunteered to stay behind forever in the shagadelic dimension to save foxxy and vanessa. they already brought him back once without explaining how he escaped from fembot island, the audience won't buy it

One episode in and Death by Lightning is already one of my favorite shows I’ve seen in years. Matthew Macfadyen, Michael Shannon, Shea Whigham, Nick Offerman, and so manny more behemoths of character acting just devouring the scenery of a lesser known American historical narrative? Absolutely yes.

I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

it's amazing how no one actually checks sources for anything online, and they just blindly repost claims that originated on "twitter". yeah sure — steven knight and denis villeneuve are stuck. get a fucking grip.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

I keep seeing regular Americans taking more risks every day to fight tyranny, want, and cynicism than I see from the opposition party, and I imagine many of those regular Americans are asking themselves what the value proposition of such an opposition party is, really

This is genuinely top 5 dumbest thing any American politician has ever said. These fucking people.
Hassan: With the government reopening shortly, Republicans now finally have to come to the table. Or make no mistake, Americans will remember who stood in the way.

The model of holding individual senators responsible is broken here. The retirees clearly agreed to take the fall. Which is why the nos should get no credit for voting no unless they move to oust Schumer

Sanders: Let’s be clear… If this vote succeeds, over 20 million Americans are going to see at least a doubling in their premiums… if resolution is passed tonight, we are on a path way to throw 15 million Americans off of medicaid and the affordable care act, 15 million.

This is why this surrender isn't just about this narrow issue but is rather the whole constitutional ballgame:

Democrats are affirmatively signaling they do not want political power at the same time Trump is transitioning the political system into an autocratic one wherein they're denied it forever
Not that he didn’t already know, but now Trump knows for sure he can roll the Dems every time and there’s no need to negotiate for anything

This deal feels like an attempt to punish "Mamdani democrats" as much as anything. After he challenged Trump in his victory speech just to fully capitulate, I don't think there is any other way to read it

This is intentional, the Dem caucus caved and nominated those 8 to take the fall.
Not a single one of the eight up for reelection this coming cycle. 🤔
THE FOLLOWING DEMOCRATIC SENATORS VOTE “YES” ON THE CONTINUING RESOLUTION IN EXCHANGE FOR NOTHING:

MAGGIE HASSAN (NH)

CATHERINE CORTEZ MASTO (NV)

JEANNE SHAHEEN (NH)

JACKY ROSEN (NV)

DICK DURBIN (IL)

TIM KAINE (VA)

ANGUS KING (ME)

JOHN FETTERMAN (PA)

ITS OVER
