Introducing Red Pens 101: a fun, accessible introduction to the nuts and bolts of writing: words, sentences, and punctuation. It'll be the perfect quick-reference point for those moving into a new realm of study, work, or personal growth who want to develop greater competency in the written word.

If you are not an expert, and you find that your personal opinion differs from expert consensus and the overwhelming weight of evidence:

Consider that "the experts who study this know more about it than I do" is a more likely explanation than "I alone discovered what all the experts missed"

Yet again, my friend reminded me of an important concept about pitching:

You need stakes, yes, but you also need PERSONAL stakes.

And they have to be VERY personal or they don't resonate.

Saving the world is not personal.

"Show, don't tell."

It's a common piece of writing advice - but what does it actually mean, and how does one actually do it?

In essence, what it means is: it's generally better for readers to experience the story for themselves, rather than being told about it.
