a project named for a true Canadian hero; take on Gordie Howe at your peril
Remarkable: Trump's deranged threat to block the bridge connecting Detroit to Canada is backfiring, giving Dems a big issue in 2026 races in Michigan, which could help decide control of Congress.

Michigan Dems tell me they'll use this against Republicans big time:

Trump Tirade over Bridge to Canada Backfires, Handing Dems 2026 Weapon
His corrupt threat to block the opening of the Gordie Howe Bridge is about to become a big albatross around the necks of GOP candidates in pivotal Michigan.

Fixed this! Trump’s chaotic tariff “plan” is clear: there is no plan. He’s happy to upend global markets depending on whoever compliments him the most. The economy cannot depend on one man’s ego.

They say they will provide Californians with “rule of law, universal health care, fact-based politics, and a lifetime supply of Danish pastries.”

I have no idea why conservatives are worried about Critical Theory and the Frankfurt School. I studied Critical Theory as an undergrad. I really wanted to believe in it, but I ended up totally disillusioned. It’s worthless nonsense.
This article makes clear just how much of the current right-wing attack on higher education is rooted in beliefs about "cultural Marxism" - a conspiracy that, as I've described, traces back to beliefs about the Frankfurt School and German Jewish émigré intellectuals. forward.com/opinion/4502...

America is so geographically large and disparately populated that it can be hard for average Americans living day-to-day lives to see that they are living under authoritarianism.

But we are living under authoritarianism.
Let's keep focused on the broader pattern here. I've outlined it in six bullet points below. Viewed all in one place, it's quite ominous:
