My favorite thing about Hemingway is that he described himself as overrated. His acceptance for the Pulitzer (I think) contains a line about how many better books were out that year. It’s up there with Peter Dinklage saying his first Emmy win should have gone to Jonathan Banks

I think promoting talented creators you feel are overlooked is much more important than tearing down popular ones you don’t like. Actually sharing some underseen/heard art might make a new fan rather than attacking something your audience knows and possibly likes
