It’s an odd political strategy to embrace another party’s base. It is completely bizarre that that base you court is a conspiracy filled, bigoted group that is the antithesis of your own party’s ideals that simultaneously, immediately, alienates your own most fervent progressive core.

Like I said, Americans will never see $2,000 checks from tariffs. They’ll tell the people “the people already got it!” with whatever bullshit line they make up. The whole thing was a lie to deflect from whatever bad policy was being talked about when they decided to make up the lie.
