Young old dude. Retired, living in the woods on a lake. I will be fine but I'm watching with horror that people voted for a bomb throwing narcissist rapist traitor for president.

Yeah we are headed into the abyss. I've supported Democrats, Equality, Labor and the environment for 40 years. We as a nation have screwed it up every time. Reagan over Carter. Clinton. Bush over Al Gore. Obama over himself. now Trump twice.

We are a greedy selfish short-sighted ignorant people.

1/x When a pilot (dis)embarks, the ship has to "make a lee", meaning that she will turn and have one side of the ship sheltered from wind and swell. (leeward side). This will make it somewhat safer for the pilot. (IG sfbarpilots)

Augh. Massive flooding in Angoulême. Those who have been to the festival will recognize the Museum. Overhead shot of the plaza & the building, and groan the ground floor.

Tough year for Angoulême. Held hostage by the vile ex-director, fest canceled, now this.

The bottom line: If you're saying the military has a responsibility to remove Trump, then YOU ARE WRONG.

That responsibility only sits with THE PEOPLE.

We The People of the United States of America MUST hold Congress to accountability!

It's your job, not some general's job.

Then in 2025 as inflation went even lower, they were… even more miserable about the economy! There’s just not any hard material indicator that remotely matches public sentiment here, and at some point we should ask if the public is getting its sentiments from some other source.

Dwarf planet Eris situated near Pluto in the Kuiper Belt. Discovered in 2005, its atmosphere freezes into snow when it is farther from the Sun and thaws when it gets closer. Eris is slightly smaller than Pluto, but more massive.

@patrickwyman.bsky.social how's the new podcast out that's all about slavery. talking about the definition of slavery it turns out that chattel slavery in the South was an example of the worst kind possible. Brutal deadly ubiquitous - Dominated politics and life and the economics of the south.
Physically incapable of analyzing politics outside of this insipid frame.

This article is very misleading, because climate change is not mentioned in the headline, and is then only vaguely mentioned late in the article in an oblique way. This is part of a wider problem of the media misleading the public about what are really climate change phenomena, not bad weather.

We're going regime villain deep-cut today with a look at Interior Secretary Doug Burgum. Guess what: he's bad, in all the ways Trump cabinet members are bad: anti-science, pro-selloff of public resources, and sycophantic to an absurd degree. From our friends at @revolvingdoordc.bsky.social.
Doug Burgum, the Regime Toady of Our Time - The American Prospect
Dashing the hopes of establishment Democrats, Trump’s interior secretary and ‘energy czar’ has adopted his boss’s excesses as his own.

Mercury crosses the placenta and affects fetal development. It accumulates in brain and kidneys. Even at low doses it can impair neurological functions. There is really no such thing as a safe level of mercury in the body. But we create "low risk" levels to protect fishing industry. No safe seafood.
