LOL.. while I was born and raised in NYC I moved out to live on a lake and go sailing when I retired at 58. Pretty red and rural out here.. AOC has worked with Schumer, Jefferies, and earlier Pelosi and has tried to help get the Dems in touch with her voters.

Eh. If it's a stunt for release day there's no particular harm in it. If they're actually living in tents for weeks trying to do coding that doesn't seem very sensible.

Here are two more. The Taliban shuffle is insightful story of a young reporter determined to make her mark. They made it into a great movie. Karzai is a good explanation of the power structures in place in the early US occupation. Another great movie was War Machine with Brad Pitt.

Here are some good books about Afghanistan. Ghost wars was how the isi created the taliban. Wrong enemy shows how we fought the war against the wrong people. And 88 days shows how we installed Karsai.
