Civil Rights, philosophy, anticapitalism, abolition. NLG forever.

Personal opinions and no legal advice. I think taking fascism seriously requires us to actively change. What we’ve been doing led to this.

Injuring yourself as you arbitrarily attack people is not the same thing as simply “being injured.”

I recall a smiling team photo CPD took on August 15, 2020 outside the hospital where they had their knuckles treated for the injuries incurred beating up teenagers.

This is good. We need to abolish the wall between the people who take the streets on one side, and the people in law and policy on the other.

That wall exists because the Democrats enforce it - abandoning the people, perpetually standing behind the police and alongside the Republicans.

We don’t need to exclusively rely on court findings that excessive force was unreasonable. In a given case, the judge or jury decides whether force used was reasonable. As a broader society, we have to advance a definition that fascist violence is unjustifiable.

Reasonableness is a battlefield

at one point, i watched a cook county sheriff’s officer (who appears to be in charge) point out a priest in the crowd.

he and a couple officers then went into the crowd , dragged him into the street, and arrested him.

situation is still tense as crowd jostles with police to get into the street.

Michael Wolff tried to buy New York Mag — with money from Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein.

So Wolff didn't just have a reporter-source relationship with Epstein. Nor was Wolff his informal PR adviser. They saw each other as potential business partners.

hey another of the West Wing’s many crimes is the Situation Room, with its Edward Hopper lighting and the idea that it’s full of serious people motivated by good things, as opposed to despicable people motivated by sadism, racism, power and money.

NEW: DHS secretly obtained Chicago police data on 900 residents accused of gang ties. It was quietly deleted after intelligence officers violated rules against domestic spying.

The handoff came well after city inspectors formally announced CPD's gang data was deeply flawed and infected w/ bias.
DHS Kept Chicago Police Records for Months in Violation of Domestic Espionage Rules
The Department of Homeland Security collected data on Chicago residents accused of gang ties to test if police files could feed an FBI watchlist. Months passed before anyone noticed it wasn’t deleted.

Is the plan to hope a district judge is braver than the entire Democratic Party and will stick their neck out to hold feds in criminal contempt? Why would they do that without assurance they’ll have political support? Pritzker’s bluff is being repeatedly called and he’s still just campaigning

He could theoretically get arrested for DUI at some point but beyond that it’s critical that our state leaders observe the unwritten “feds can freely commit all crimes” doctrine. The rule of law depends on it. James Madison is watching.

Any and every story about the Feds claiming something happened at a scene should contain the information that they've repeatedly lied, provided questionable or no evidence to back up their claims, and even a judge has called their credibility into question. That's the bare minimum at this point.

And when reporters email DHS some Nazi scumbag spokesman replies like “lol cool journalism you dumb commie”

They’re not credible, they are the Klan. This isn’t a legitimate government agency that you should cover like it’s the water reclamation district
Have now seen two stories from major local broadcast outlets in Chicago repeating a claim by DHS that shots were fired and paint cans/bricks were thrown today in Little Village, with the only "evidence" being a post from the agency on a nazi website. This is more than irresponsible.

It’s a choice to see a Nazi government as legitimate and only certain acts of that government as unlawful excesses. The 600,000+ people killed by the illegal abolition of USAID, the people starving for lack of SNAP, and the terror in Chicago - all of it flows from a singular, illegitimate project.
