I'll never understand the appeal of AI. When I write stories, it's because I have ideas I find interesting, and I want to see how my characters evolve from page to page as they go along on their quest.

I was going to sit down today and finish up my first draft of an essay where I examine how transmisogyny is in part rooted in demographic anxieties, about seeing queerness as a dereliction of one's duty to the nation by abandoning reproduction.
And Redstate just goes and says it for me.

I am embarrassed to have an opinion about what a director I’ve only seen I think 3 movies by said on a podcast but every time I’ve ever seen Matthew Lillard in a movie I’ve enjoyed it; giving props to work you like rules over being catty and rude, & people who think catty and rude is good are bores

It always gets on my nerves when people say the “Old Testament” is so violent and disturbing, compared to the supposedly much more peaceful and loving “New Testament.”
I think we have to look at them as different genres. One is a warts-and-all family memoir, while the other is more like self-help.
