I want to take a moment to thank the entire Elias Law Group team who worked on the Texas redistricting case as well as our fearless clients. The thirteen Black and Latino voters we represented stood up to challenge Texas's unprecedented mid-decade redistricting. We all ow them a debt of gratitude.

Texas getting its gerrymander blocked while California and Virginia eliminate 8-9 Republican seats would be a stupendous, comical outcome.
"But when the Trump Administration reframed its request as a demand to redistrict congressional seats based on their racial makeup, Texas lawmakers immediately jumped on board."

Bigly

Not only did the Texas court reject the maps

Indiana refused to redistrict
So did Kansas

Meanwhile, California and Virginia move closer to producing maps that favor Democrats

Really? I watched the first two hours last night and am not sure I can take any more. Nice to see colleagues on air (even my mentor, no longer with us, got a few seconds), but the content is so thin it just did not seem very energetic or informative.
The vast body of research that Ken Burns relied upon to make his new documentary on the American Revolution would be practically impossible to be produced today, what with the defunding of humanistic scholarship, the collapse of stable academic jobs, the attack on public history & academic freedom.🗃️

For any other president this would be heralded as the disastrous policy failure of a floundering and indecisive chief executive
So let me get this right, Trump’s plan was:

1. Tariff everything to help the economy (it didn’t)

2. Claim consumers aren’t paying tariffs (we are)

3. Panic & roll back food tariffs b/c you created an affordability crisis (we told you)
