Since FindOutNow is making waves for their polling again worth keeping this in mind 👇
Given FindOutNow polls keep making news it's worth saying a bit more about their methodology.

Unlike other online pollsters it doesn't use a panel of people who've signed up to do polls. Instead they ask a small number of Qs to people playing the Pick my Postcode lottery. (Thread)

Meanwhile every long term NW Labour voter I know is spitting fire at Starmer’s move to the far right on immigration and planning to vote Lib Dem or Green.

Now admittedly this is self-selecting because my friends and family are good people, but I don’t think they’re unusually good people
I come back, once again, to the repeatable finding in numerous polls that statistically zero Reform voters in 2024 have moved to Labour

In this week's column I seek to explain Keir Starmer's flat refusal to change our electoral system, even though its gross unfairness could put Reform UK in power on <30% of the vote. The reasons, I believe, are deeply cynical and disturbing. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
If Reform ever wins power in Westminster, it will be because of Labour’s cowardice | George Monbiot
Starmer could improve our unfair electoral system to stop the hard right, but he won’t. All the party has left are threats about ‘splitting the vote’, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

the Greens putting up a plumber against a failed right wing academic who lives in London is masterful stuff, you can't help but Reform really assumed they would be running against Burnham and would have no chance when all they've done is help set the Greens up for a stunning result

Swindon Greens have been out talking with voters in the Queens Park ward, and the response has been hugely positive!

In Swindon and across the country, the Green Party is powered by ordinary, hard working people, like our ward candidates Repi Begum and Shad Chokdar.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d think perhaps the likes of Steve Reed, Luke Akehurst, Morgan McSweeney et al had a different vision of success than a coherent, credible and modernised social-democratic form of government under the Labour Party. Who can say!
24% of people who voted Labour at the last general election now plan to
vote Green or Lib Dem.

0% of those who voted Reform at the last election now plan to vote Labour.

I don't think 'too many Tory defectors' is a significant problem for Reform. They have 4m people who have voted Farage 2-4 times locked down. Main 2029 targets are 5 million people who have not: mainly Tory 2024 Sunak > Farage voters + Tory 2019 voters who didn't vote in 2024 for Sunak or Farage
