I’d prefer “days away”, but that’s just me.
The guy who is tearing down the white house, redoing bathrooms, building a ball room, proposing arches, wants his face on a coin, and is demanding his name be put on a new stadium might be smearing his name on everything because he knows he's weeks or months away from being six feet in the dirt.
