Perhaps I'm wrong, but this doesn't seem like an effective way of convincing people to "look over there - squirrel!"

Difficult to take seriously the moral pretensions of a rag which, functionally speaking, defends the guy who raped a homeless 17yo trying to save money for braces.

I know, I know: "but her emails".

Just despicable.
'Matt Gaetz Raped A Homeless Teenager' is what you mean.

A teenager with a homeless parent? What? The fuck? Did she have a home and not allow her parent to live in it? Ended up having sex with? What? Yeah clearly you guys been caping for pedos long enough and you understand the assignment here
A teenager in Florida with a homeless parent wanted money for braces and ended up having sex for money with powerful men, setting off a chain of events that would have a dramatic impact on her life and help upend the political career of Representative Matt Gaetz. nyti.ms/49PSkL9

In this specific instance, it's more like "some people think pedophilia is illegal, but some people think pedophilia is legal. We're not a-gonna accuse people who indulged in pedophilia b/c who knows which side is right?"
You are either for democracy/rule-of-law or against democracy/rule-of-law, but trying to be appear neutral NYT is against democracy/rule-of-law

I canceled our Völkischer Beobachter subscription a few years ago precisely b/c they print so much shit like this.

Astonishing, tho', when they're under attack for protecting Trump and pedophile elites, that they would put up such a self-incriminating headline.
Just this week (1) revealed that NYT had details of Trump's involvement in a horrifying sex trafficking operation in 2015 but kept it quite (2) NYT pushing lies about Trump pivoting to "affordability" falsely comparing his policy, economy, rhetoric to Biden (3) NYT wrote this absolute monstrosity 👇

NEW: DHS secretly obtained Chicago police data on 900 residents accused of gang ties. It was quietly deleted after intelligence officers violated rules against domestic spying.

The handoff came well after city inspectors formally announced CPD's gang data was deeply flawed and infected w/ bias.
DHS Kept Chicago Police Records for Months in Violation of Domestic Espionage Rules
The Department of Homeland Security collected data on Chicago residents accused of gang ties to test if police files could feed an FBI watchlist. Months passed before anyone noticed it wasn’t deleted.

True of the "opposition" party in the US, too.

Changing out the so-called "leadership" of the Dem Party would be a good place to start.
IMO the worst thing about this government is its failure to see Trump, Farage, anti-immigration rhetoric, rising racism, and the 'gender critical' lobby as connected elements of a global war against liberalism and social democracy – and instead treating them as discrete issues to be 'managed'.

Perhaps I'm being naive, but I'm a-gonna guess that the Trump Admin has torched its credibility to the extent that a false flag incident (*coughs*like Tonkin Bay*coughs*) will not be received favorably.
Does not appear that there is overwhelming support from the American public for either the administration's killing spree at sea or for a possible regime change war in Venezuela.

One of the most maddening aspects of Trump’s deranged personality is what an abject coward he is & has always been. No public events today; hops on AF1 & flies down to Mar-a-Lago to hang out w/his fellow trash. He’s is in trouble and he will hide, that’s not a POTUS it’s a PAB.

If Trump would like an example of how little doing something about prices after the point where voters get really angry about them actually has an impact--or how little interest a lot of retailers will have in lowering their own prices once theyve raised them--he need look no further than 2021-2024
Trump’s new “affordability” push is basically reversing the tariffs he said would never cause un-affordability.
