Linda Blackford: A finding of probable cause, followed by a settlement with two fines and a reprimand is not “fully cleared,” and the fact that Grossberg showed no remorse or apparently any understanding of what just happened shows why he should not be in office.

Exactly 2 months ago, FDA “leaders” Marty Makary and Vinay Prasad claimed that 10 children had died from the COVID19 vaccine.

To this day they have provided no evidence to support this claim.

In real science, when a statement of such magnitude is made, having evidence to support it is crucial.

Tangential: one of my favorite memories of Dude the Younger is when we were singing to Big Boi’s “All Night” and his sweet little 4th grade voice peeped up from the backseat that “This is a song about consent!” 😂
bout a week ago one of my girls wanted to hear a song with “rose” in it. i the millennial dad could only think of one song with “rose” in it so i introduced them to outkast.

ive spent my week playing outkasts discography with my kids & my two year old now only refers to himself as big boy.

Obviously a lot of well-earned criticism this morning of the dog phrenology take, but

“Where I see the center of mass pointed” is ALSO NOT HOW WE DO SCIENCE, MY BRO.

You don’t just, like, average a bunch of studies together. Cochrane Reviews exist for a reason.
In response to announcement that he will be a new CBS contributor, Andrew Huberman tweeted “I’ve always gone issue-by-issue on health & science, spoken to experts w/a range of takes & presented where I see the center of (data) mass pointed. I’ll do the same with @CBSNews”. In Sept he posted this:

I think one of the most frustrating things for many neurodivergent people is that we cannot understand why people don’t give a fuck about things that could make the world a better and kinder place - that’s what happens when your emotional circuitry doesn’t work “effectively”

The director of the FBI just reiterated the Trump uber-message: We can kill you.

Alex Pretti was not attacking the agents. If he was resisting as he was being assaulted by them, under no law enforcement protocol is that alone cause for a summary execution.

This is police-state tactics.
BARTIROMO: There is outrage across the country that there is another killing. Someone is dead at the hands of Border Patrol. What can you tell us?

KASH PATEL: You do not get to attack law enforcement officials in this country without any repercussions. We not messing around.

just gonna throw out a quick reminder that in America police kill a yearly average of 3 civilians per day, routinely in situations very similar to these ICE killings, and decades of explicit support for police impunity by US politicians is why ICE feels theyre able to get away with this right now
Our government is murdering the citizens of this country. They are doing it without any checks on their violence

ICE killing #AlexPretti should remind you of police killing #PhilandoCastille. Both men had concealed weapon permits, did not draw their guns, & were killed in Minn. These homicides are the price of unaccountable policing. These deaths are variations on the same fatal theme.

we should definitely tear down ICE and then replace it. maybe with some nice community centers or something. social workers, immigration attorneys. you're allowed to do stuff that's good and helps people. it doesn't have to always be gun guys. you have so many different kinds of gun guy already

I’ll say it.

The NFL should postpone tomorrow’s championship games.

When there is a masked secret police force killing peaceful protesters and observers in the streets, it’s time to take the biggest, sturdiest, and loudest stands.

The main point is that ICE cannot be reformed. They are not violating human rights & committing crimes by mistake; they want to brutalize people.

But pay attention to the other public servants who are not under federal authority who keep telling people that protesting fascism is worse than fascism.

I wish Democrats would start just speaking the truth:

“ICE is killing American citizens in public for exercising their freedom of speech because Donald Trump wants to be a king.

This isn’t about immigration—Trump wants to make it illegal to oppose him, and to stay in power until he dies.”

As angry as I am about the Trump administration's actions, I struggle (a LOT) with the reality that he's there only because a critical mass of my fellow citizens have (enthusiastically) nominated him three times for president and then a near-majority decided in 2024 that he was an acceptable option.

On the year anniversary week of Trump in office for a second time, we seem to have literal death squads patrolling the streets of Democratic-run cities.

On the execution in Minnesota: Obviously, the individuals involved should be held accountable. But responsibility goes to the top of ICE and CBP, and DHS. Their appropriations come up next week in the senate. Not a cent for DHS without pulling ICE and CBP off the streets, in MN and everywhere else.

ICE has now carried out two summary executions of innocent people in the streets of an American city.

If you work for ICE, there's no denying that's the mission you're supporting now. You don't get to claim in one year or ten or twenty that you didn't know what ICE was doing. You're complicit.
