Posted everywhere and simply wrong. This is a measure of premiums collected minus benefits paid. Fewer benefits paid with everyone staying home for Covid, hence higher numbers then reversion. It isn’t a measure of your premium. I don’t think it’s malicious but please be careful.

Stupid question:

Why do people favor universal basic income over a generous negative income tax? Seems silly not to means test, if the goal is to provide a basic living and a backstop against calamity.

Kid Rock was at the Rally to Restore Sanity back in 2010.

I'm pretty sure many people there with me wiped that from their memory considering the almost audible thud with which his name landed on us at the end of his introduction.
Back when I was a car blogger in the early 2000s I went to an event for dealership owners in a big tent in a parking lot and Kid Rock performed and no one got out of their seats and it was so embarrassing but now everyone’s seen it so at least I’m not alone anymore.

DR OZ: I don't believe so. Secretary Kennedy has been advocating for measles vaccines

Darin Smith, a Trump nominee, wants to be Wyoming’s top prosecutor.

He has cosponsored drag show and book bans, opposes marriage equality and LGBTQ+ worker protections, and thinks homosexuality is “harmful.”

This is the same state where Matthew Shepard was killed for being gay.

Once again, immigration is not even a problem. Immigrants are not more criminal, they don't cost jobs, they don't harm the economy. There is no reason for any of this. It is hurting ourselves to hurt them.

I'm an honest-to-God open migration guy, but I understand why people aren't. I do not understand the delight in a person weeping because they're being forced to leave or separated from a child, or any kind of joy taken in seeing someone upset to witness this sort of thing.

This isn't the most important thing now, but I'd love it if gov't agencies weren't allowed to post anything on social media but info. That could of course be done in better or worse ways but having the DHS make demands while addressing me as "citizen" is a repulsive encroachment on private life.

I've not seen anyone else talk about is so I don't know if I'm alone on this, but I've always regarded software engineering to be as much an art as it is a science, and that it takes an artist to write truly good software.

Partisanship, though deplored by the Founders, was an inevitable result of the Constitution's design, just like a magnet instantly sorts iron filings to its poles. If all power goes to whoever gets 50% +1 votes, then people will form coalitions to get there.
Johnson surrendered the political gains that 100s of 1000s of soldiers had died for and still avoided an impeachment conviction. Even Nixon probably could have survived impeachment. It's never worked because this was one of those tools written before the framers understood partisanship existed.
