Every year I play a Halloween children’s parade and this year was the first I’ve seen where you could feel the decline of monoculture - the only trend I saw was KPop Demon Hunters. Also saw dozens of dog costumes and not a single Superdog, which feels like a nail in the coffin for superheroes

New entry on the “coolest shit of my entire life” list - the Oregon State marching band did a field show with Brass Queens original tunes and invited us to join them. Hearing our music at that scale was surreal.

1. Get comic shop workers to believe in and hype your book to regulars.

Brass Queens have some gigs in/near Portland over the next 2 weeks and I’ve been horrified by the lawless behavior here. Yesterday at 7am I saw a guy shaking sprinkles into a can of Pillsbury frosting and eating it with a spoon. Relieved to have troops deployed to violently deal with this behavior

My new most delusional belief as someone who’s not at all a Taylor Swift fan: I could’ve made the new album good. It needed to embrace the showgirl elements - horn lines, string interludes, more variety, less typical pop production, going BIG. And put someone in there who can veto bad lyrics
